Salem Youth Soccer has the following volunteer postions open for Fall 2011 and needs your help!!!  If interested, please contact

Tot Coordinator:   Person is responsible for working with the VP of Recreation to oversee the Tot soccer program.  Person will help to recruit coaches, answer questions during the season and place players on rosters.   Person serves as the first point of contact for coaches/parents from this division.   Person will assist with distributing informaiton to teams/coaches.   Assist in promoting SYSA activites to team/players and will help to ensure fields are set up/taken down properly each week by teams etc.   Attendance at the monthly board meeting is required.  Person will receive a board discount.

U6 Recreational Coordinator: 
Person is responsible for working with the VP of Recreation to oversee the U6 soccer program.  Person will help to recruit coaches, answer questions during the season and place players on rosters.   Person serves as the first point of contact for coaches/parents from this division.   Person will assist with distributing informaiton to teams/coaches.   Assist in promoting SYSA activites to team/players and will help to ensure fields are set up/taken down properly each week by teams etc.   Attendance at the monthly board meeting is required.  Person will receive a board discount.

Field Manager/Designee:  Person will assist with field maintenance issues and equipment oversite.  Person is responsible for working with league and town to decide if fields are open or closed during inclement weather.  This volunteer works directly with the Vice Presidents of both our recreational and travel/EDP divisions to finalize field availability each day when weather is an issue.  Person will update our voice recording and webmsite  when fields are closed.  Person will also serve as the contact for the Town of Salem should a team violate the closed field ruling.  Attendance at monthly board meeting is not required. Person will receive a board discount. 

Fundraising Committee: (3-5 people wanted)  Team is responsible for working with the Fundraising chairperson to develop, organize and report (financial) on 2-3 fundraisinig initiatives each year (tag day, calendar raffle, etc..) .   Members will assist in making sure fundraising goals are met, that activities are approved by the board and will assist in making recommendations for spending fundraising dollars.   Attendance at the monthly board meeting is not required.  Person will receive a board discount. 

Communications Coordinator:  Person is responsible for assisting league with getting advertisements/ announcements into local newspapers, and submitting weekly/monthly SYSA articles & pictures to the local newspapers (ie.. tournament results, player activities, SYSA events etc).   Attendance at the monthly board meeting is highly suggested. Person will receive a board discount.

Webmaster:   Person is responsible for maintaining and developing the SYSA website.  Person will help train other volunteers on how to post articles, monitor the site for outdated information, create online registration sessions, ensure cohesive messaging, create system users etc..     Attendance at monthly board meetings is not required.  Person will receive a board discount.
